The construction of Scheuch LIGNO GmbH is taking shape
The groundbreaking ceremony of Scheuch LIGNO GmbH took place in Mehrnbach on March 27th at the construction launch of the new building. Eight million Euros are being invested in the new site. “The planned infrastructure is intended to optimally meet customer requirements. It’s a new beginning made to measure”, rejoiced Alois Burgstaller as Managing Director of Scheuch LIGNO.
Early that morning Alois Burgstaller invited the entire Scheuch LIGNO team to their first works meeting in the marquee specially erected for the occasion. Subsequently Stefan Scheuch greeted the employees of Scheuch LIGNO GmbH along with guests of honour and local media representatives. The mayor of Mehrnbach Peter Bahn praised the event, in particular the investment into the area and the creation of local jobs.
The groundbreaking ceremony is symbolic of the close relationship between Scheuch and Scheuch LIGNO, Stefan Scheuch and Jörg Jeliniewski along with Alois Burgstaller with the help and support of Peter Bahn and that of Andreas Matulik, the architect of the new site. Despite the cold wet weather the staff members had plenty of opportunity to celebrate in the marquee on the day. Meanwhile Stefan Scheuch, Alois Burgstaller, Peter Bahn and Andreas Matulik took part in a press conference at the inn “Wirt z’Kraxenberg”.
“It’s close to our heart, as a family and a company from Innviertel, to create and maintain long term employment in the area. The investment into the site here in Mehrnbach is an important step for improving the area by enabling people to have a livelihood”, Stefan Scheuch stressed.
Scheuch LIGNO GmBH in Mehrnbach is to consist of their own production hall with state-of-the-art machinery, new office and warehouse space, a large service area as well as generously proportioned external space. The construction works are set to complete in the winter of 2015/16. The opening of the new building of almost 6,000 square metres is planned for February 2016. A warehousing and vehicle area in excess of 10,000 square metres is also planned.
LIGNO combines the forces of two strong partners
“The success story of Scheuch GmbH began more than 50 years ago in the wood processing sector. Since then the product range has continually expanded, enriched with many patents. I’m very pleased that by founding Scheuch LIGNO GmbH, we’ve had the opportunity to better adapt to customer requirements with new infrastructure. As a result we can provide our customers the best economic solution. And all from a single source as testified”, explained Alois Burgstaller.
The new company in Mehrnbach combines the strength of Scheuch GmbH in wood processing and that of LBH GmbH in wood crafts into Scheuch LIGNO extraction technology.
“All our customers are to take advantage from the synergy effect in combining the wood processing sector in terms of Scheuch with the wood craft domain of LBH – from the handicraft business right up to the large industrial concern. “The advantages largely encompass individual consulting, new products and innovations, as well as quick and flexible service”, said Alois Burgstaller.
